I have loved movement for as long as I can remember. I was 2 years old when my sisters first introduced me to ballet. They would come home from their classes and I would beg them to teach me their steps. Even then, I loved movement, thinking about movement, and sharing movement with others. I entered into formal ballet training less than a year later at three years old.
My love of movement led me to pursue a career in professional ballet. And while through dance I experienced the most fulfilling artistic expression in my life, through it I also experienced the toll it can have on the body. Striving for peak athleticism I turned to cross-training using Pilates and the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® method.* It did not take long for me to notice that my body felt stronger and more balanced and that it was easier to keep up the demands of my career.
Since retiring from dance in 2013, I have continued to focus my career on learning about the body, its biomechanics and how movement can be used to address the recovery and prevention from injury. Having dealt with personal injury and managing my own scoliosis, I find great fulfillment in drawing on my personal experience in order to help others improve their quality of life. Whether it is working with high level athletes, the elderly, or those with a nine-five desk job, I cater to each clients’ individual needs and help them discover how efficient movement can improve their quality of life.
